Have Your Cake

Have your cake is a game made during a game jam that lasted 2 days, in a group of 2 people we had to make a game around the theme of "Celebration" and "Playground".

We decided to settle for a more obscure game where you experience the struggles of life as you grow older. Using a procedurally generated playground that grew in size and complexity as you got older, we aim to simulate the burden of life.

Throughout the game you are blocked by obstacles you might experience in your day to day life, such as Rent, Car Maintenance and Alcoholism. As you progress through your life you have the choice to deal with your issues and remove these obstacles, or ignore them to get an easier level.

Depending on how you play, you get a different ending.
