Bingo Fishing is a stressful game based around a relaxing concept.
Complete your bingo card within a 10 minute timer, you better hope those fish bite!
Bingo Fishing is a game developed over the course of a semester by a team of three students. Our goal was to combine two simple, familiar games and turn them into something new and exciting.
Cast your line and fish to complete a bingo before the time runs out! You have ten minutes, but be warned: danger lurks beneath the surface. Trip, drown, or even get eaten by sharks if you’re not careful!
I was the main designer and team lead.
Bingofishing started out as a boardgame made by me, you would take turns rolling a dice and you choose between moving, fishing, or buying/using items. This boardgame was also designed by me.
The first player to complete a bingo, would win.
For the PC version we leaned into the element of stress, normally both bingo and fishing are not stressful, the game however combines these games into a stressful experience by using the 1 common elements, time. Fishing takes time, bingo is a race, bingofishing is a race against time.
The bingo board is randomly generated based on multiple lists of objectives, each list has a different weight and each objective is unique, the bingo logic ensures the no single objective can fill multiple spaces in the same row/column/diagonal. (for example "catch a blue fish" and "catch a salt water fish")
